15th Cross Country.
The day I've been waiting for has arrived.
Excited. High expectations. But it all turned out to be disappointments and tears.
So I was expecting to be like in the top 10. Not trying to be arrogant and think so highly for myself. But it's logical right? I got top 10 last year and this year we're running with the sec5s so naturally I'll aim for top 10. But something just happened along the way and I gave up.
Celine (Don't have a picture with her :/ Will take one with her someday!) and I decided to run together. But I'm actually sick and tired of hearing people say 'ehh run with me ah.' Becuz in the end, when one party is tired, the other party will just run off. I'm right, right? I'm definitely NOT the only one who experienced this. So I just took her words super duper extremely lightly.
The first half of the run was really cool, we were like in top 10. But I gave up running due to some reasons. We stopped and run stopped and run. Over 20 people took over us and that's when i started to realise I'm pulling her position down (we're both aiming high) and told her to go first. GUESS WHAT SHE SAID.
'No, we said to be together.' I swear I was so freaking touched.You can call be a super emotional person but I've never ever met anyone like that before. Really. Yeah so we came in in 30+... Super sad and disappointed. I've never ever run so badly. Never before.
Hey Celine, I'm super thankful to you today. Staying by my side even though I'm pulling you down, giving up your position you've been aiming for, Comforting me after the race when I broke down, encouraging me with your words, staying all the way with me. Honestly speaking, I didn't expect you to really keep your words and stay even though we agreed on it. I'm sorry again to pull your position down. Today was better becuz of you. Thankyou so much, friend. ;)
